'TRAINSPOTTERS #T30' with Jealous Artists
Published on:Choose Atom Gallery: 30+ creatives including Jealous artists unite to show compelling new works inspired by Irvine Welsh's 'Trainspotting' and its cultural legacy.
Celebrating 30 years of 'Trainspotting', 'TRAINSPOTTERS #T30' is curated by Grow Up AKA Blam, the visionary designer/co-creator who teamed up with Lorenzo Agius, the photographic genius behind that unforgettable Trainspotting (1996) film poster. First published in 1993, Scottish writer Irvine Welsh's dark, unrelenting and culturally signficant novel has gone on to inspire generations, with the 1996 film of the same name directed by Danny Boyle providing an arresting visual companion.
An incredible lineup includes Phill Jupitus, Adam and Joe, Florist, Ben Frost, Oddhouse, Haus of Lucy, Hayden Kays, Mul, Trackie McLeod, Chris Ashworth and Jealous artists from Magda Archer, to Hayden Kays, Ceal Warnants, Chemical X, Maxine Gregson, Stanley Donwood and Modern Toss. A portion of the proceeds will be paid to Trussell Trust and Mind.
Speaking of Donwood, key pieces include the artist's 'OK Computer' artwork for Radiohead's 1997 album in a special 'Trainspotting' orange variant and London-based mosaic artist Florist's signature tile-work homage to the book's cover art.
Rather than a monument to nostalgia, 'TRAINSPOTTERS' looks to the future and the next wave of creatives inspired by the pop culture phenomenon.
'TRAINSPOTTERS #T30' runs from 21st February - 14th March 2026 at Atom Gallery, London.
