It's your chance to give Gello Printing a go!

Jealous' own Jess Wilson is hosting a gello workshop with Crouch End legends Urban Flower Co. Bringing her vibrant floral pieces to life within the lush environment of the flower shop, this will not be one to miss!

What is gello printing?

Gello printing is a form of printmaking that involves using a gelatin plate as a printing surface. The plate is inked or painted with a layer of paint, and then a piece of paper, is pressed onto the plate to create a print. With the hand-pressed foliage from Urban Flower Co, you can replicate Jess Wilson's style of printing and produce striking positive and negative spaces using a range of colourful leaves, stems, and flowers. These carefully selected botanicals offer an exciting chance to experiment with vivid tones and textures.

Gelatin plate is included in the price for you to take home after the workshop!

What you'll learn?

Although Jess Wilson's foliage studies are typically produced through screen printing, we have modified the process for our workshop to be completed in just 2 hours. With Jess as your guide, you'll learn about the printing process, colour schemes, and stem options, allowing you to craft your own colourful botanical prints. We'll supply all the necessary materials, including gelatin plates, paper, foliage, and paints. Just be sure to wear clothing you don't mind getting a little messy.
