JEALOUS

Jealous presented original works by David Shrigley, Jonathan Yeo, Danny Augustine, Charming Baker, Dave Buonaguidi, Stanley Donwood, Noel Fielding, Rachel Howard, Jessica Albarn and Nettie Wakefield.

Jealous was proud to present ‘Quick On The Draw’: an all-star line-up of unique artist drawings displayed under one roof, which opened on Thursday 30th October.

The collection brought together original works by Jessica Albarn, Danny Augustine, Charming Baker, Dave Buonaguidi, Stanley Donwood, Noel Fielding, Rachel Howard, David Shrigley, Jonathan Yeo, and Nettie Wakefield. Deconstructing the minds behind some of our most successful and iconic screenprint editions, this exhibition was an intimate and thoughtful collection curated by Gallery Director Dario Illari.

A departure from Jealous’ signature print shows, the exhibition was a quietly confident exploration into the intimate language of drawing: how it can be both the genesis of an idea and its resolution.

Original works that are sharp-witted and intricate, ‘Quick On The Draw’ showcased the artists’ raw talent stripped back to its purest form. From self-deemed ‘quick shit drawings’ to in-depth studies and whimsical caricatures, each work invited the viewer to take a glimpse into this nuanced collective of artists’ minds. ‘Quick On The Draw’ ran from 30th October – 15th November at Jealous Gallery, 53 Curtain Road EC2A 3PT.
