“My new body of work confronts the paradox of being both outside and inside a system I criticise. 'Suffocate the Bourgeois' is not a sermon."
Jealous is excited to announce Karl Allen's upcoming debut solo exhibition ‘Suffocate the Bourgeois: 2025’.
Featuring a deeply personal selection of the artist’s works, this is an exploration into the internal contradictions around class as the artist deftly navigates materialism and the veneer of “keeping up appearances”.
‘Suffocate the Bourgeois: 2025’ opened on Thursday 9th October from 6.30pm-8.30pm and will run until Saturday 18th October, at Jealous, 53 Curtain Road, London, EC2A 3PT. We welcome you to challenge your preconceptions with this thought-provoking exhibition...
