We’re excited to play host to Georgia Merton’s compelling solo exhibition, ‘Out of the Blue’.
Open between 7 - 21 March at Jealous, multidisciplinary artist and photographer Georgia Merton’s tentative and delicate cyanotype works explore playful innocence through the palette of Prussian blue.
As featured by Creative Boom, Merton draws her inspiration from the elemental qualities of the physical landscape and their unique connection with human nature. Her bold cyanotype works encapsulate treasured moments, inviting the audience into a space that feels submerged and suspended in time.
The exhibition will showcase a selection of Merton’s majestic larger pieces, alongside a trove of personal pieces from the artist’s archive, curated by Merton with Gallery Director, Dario Illari.

This body of work reflects an ongoing attempt to hold fleeting moments in time and give them permanence. The viewer is invited to plunge deep into a sea of blue and white and explore the expressive cyanotype process. Embracing the material constraints and alchemical qualities of cyanotype, Merton transforms light and shadow into a meditation on movement, presence, and touch. The restricted palette heightens the synergy between positive and negative space, transforming positive space into luminosity and negative, into structure.
'Out of the Blue' runs from 7 - 21 March, with its Opening Night held on Thursday 12th March from 6.30pm – 8.30pm at Jealous, 53 Curtain Road, EC2 3PT, London. As always, refreshments were on hand from our good friends at Whitebox Cocktails and Two Tribes. Scroll on for a sneak peek at the fun!
