JEALOUS

Jealous is excited to present: 'My Love Is Your Love', a group show curated by contemporary artist, Exhibit69.

Opening on 12th February, ‘My Love Is Your Love’, in collaboration with Jealous and Big Issue will feature a beautiful array of works celebrating love, created by amazing artists of diverse backgrounds brought together by contemporary artist and curator, Exhibit69.

Coinciding with Big Issue's 35th anniversary, this exciting exhibition encapsulates love in its purest form, highlighting various dynamics and expressions through an artistic labour of love that brings joy and assists others, highlighting the very reason for our existence. 35% of the proceeds from every artwork sold supports Big Issue and their work to end poverty in the UK. If you can, please also support a Big Issue vendor by buying a magazine in the street.

Curator Exhibit69 and participating artist Miguel H. Cuar have also transformed the Jealous rooftop with a Big Issue-themed mural.

'My Love Is Your Love' opened with a preview night on Thursday 12th February between 6.30 - 8.30pm, supported with drinks from our lovely sponsors Whitebox and Two Tribes. Our first party of the year was jam-packed with artists and art lovers alike, curator Exhibit69 was on hand to greet guests and participating artists including Frank Carter, The Cameron Twins, Ellis Parrinder, Haus of Lucy, OLOGUNMOLE and Amie Elizabeth Wolo. Huge thanks to all who joined us!

The exhibition will run until Saturday 28th February, at Jealous, 53 Curtain Road, London, EC2A 3PT.

EXHIBIT69

Curator

EXHIBIT69 is a London based contemporary artist that paints a playful yet mischievous anthropomorphic bear to explore adult themes such as sex, drug use, and countercultural disillusionment.

EXHIBIT69 (b.1980) rediscovered his love of painting, using leather jackets and bags as his canvas to help cope with his deteriorating mental health conditions. This set the course for the future, from working as an assistant to Artist D*Face (2017), selling out in Nordstrom (2022), and putting one independent art shows at the creative hub Forever Good in Tower Bridge. Amongst notable milestones, EXHIBIT69 has featured and sold-out digital prints in actor/musician Bashy's exhibition Being Poor Is Expensive at jealous gallery and has recently had works featured in Saatchi Gallery.

EXHIBIT69 currently helps manage Annex in Shoreditch, a creative hub, concept store, and activation space that houses his lifestyle brand Ecstasy.

Disillusioned and frustrated with historical issues affecting the art market in the UK, EXHIBIT69 conceived and facilitates a fresh concept called SHOW & TELL, enabling him to create and nurture a safe & diverse community without gatekeepers for artists to showcase their work to art lovers at all levels.
