JEALOUS ARE PLEASED TO PRESENT A NEW BODY OF WORK BY ROWAN NEWTON

‘Isolation: Self-Imposed’ is a series of work that has evolved during the past year to capture the personal and immediate experiences felt throughout the pandemic. The series is inspired by Newton's reflections on his own artistic practice, which continued almost unchanged, despite the world around him coming to a standstill.
This self-imposed isolation is an important part of his creative practice and the time he spends with his paintings, looking, reviewing and refining them ultimately leads to the finished works on display today.
I love painting nudie rudies
