One year after finishing high school in western Sydney, Stewart managed to blag his way into the Ed Hardy Design studios in Hollywood, California, moving from intern to Designer in a matter of weeks, whilst moonlighting for LA based label, Parballe. After the companies messy implosion, he was left alone in New York City. Penniless and without a working Visa, he spent a year learning guitar and found "alternative" ways of making money to fund his way back to Australia. Since moving to Melbourne (on a another whim), he's spent his time playing in bands, experimenting with psychedelics and wrangling together a few exhibitions here and there. Now (finally) studying Graphic Design, he will graduate in July 2015 with an Advanced Diploma and a selection of freelance clients under his belt. As well as his involvement with Design, Stewart works in photography, illustration and brand identity. Referencing Pop Art, 90's graphic Design and Psychedelia, his narrative is often satirical and tongue-in-cheek.
