Olivia Kemp graduated from Wimbledon College of Arts with an MA in Drawing, she is currently completing ‘The Drawing Year’ programme at The Princes Drawing School. The idea of nature slowly taking back its own is the main focus in Olivia’s practice. She draws places and buildings in various states of takeover, with wilderness and nature purposefully creeping back in. Drawing the pervasive change encapsulates a moment, one that we will not get back as the course of deterioration continues. Her work has featured in Plog Magazine and has been exhibited across the UK, including at Bargehouse (Oxo Tower Wharf), The National Gallery and the Taplin Gallery amongst others. Olivia was also one of a selection of new artists whose work was on display across the London Underground as part of the Art Below public art campaign when her piece Madeleine’s View was displayed at Hyde Park Station in April 2013. Olivia’s Jealous Prize print edition is now held in the Victoria & Albert Museum Permanent Print Collection.
