Menna Jenkins studied at Edinburgh College of Art and graduated with a first in illustration as well as completing her MA at Camberwell in Printmaking. Menna has written and illustrated her own books, is a frequent contributor for a number of publications and has exhibited widely throughout the UK. Capturing a craft aesthetic with a linocut printing technique, Menna succinctly navigates twenty first century colloquialisms and imagery from her surroundings to intelligently comment upon our social tendencies and the situations we find ourselves in. The purity of the image, the seemingly innocent humour and the sharp analysis is very reminiscent of the original ‘Pop’ ethos. Menna’s Jealous Prize print edition is now held in the Victoria & Albert Museum Permanent Print Collection.
