British born Lucy McLauchlan exhibits in galleries, museums and underground venues across the globe. Her large-scale monochromatic paintings have covered multi-stories throughout Europe, gigantic billboards in China, windows in Japan, walls in Moscow’s Red Square, buildings in The Gambia, Italian water towers, a Norwegian lighthouse, Detroit car park and an abandoned NYC subway tunnel.

She is a founding member alongside Matthew Watkins of Beat13, established as an autonomous platform for self-initiated projects. Watkins also creates films following Lucy at work, revealing an intimate insight into her practice and winning awards; Metropolis Art Prize, New York (2010) and Flatpack Short Film Awards, UK (2018).
