Lucia Buceta Santos is a trained architect and furniture designer from Galicia in North West Spain. Brutalist architecture and the Postmodern Movement influence her artwork. By using the skills she has attained through architecture she designs imaginary and unusual structures that could actually be built as a residence, pavilion or a sculpture. Her practice involves drawing, collage, model making and furniture design, sharing an aesthetic of minimal sharp lines and bold colour combinations. Her furniture has been previously exhibited at the Saatchi Gallery, Warrington Museum and Design Junction London. She is currently working towards a creative output that encompasses the environments we inhabit, the houses we live in, the objects around us and the art on our walls.
