The Lost Domain
Stanley Donwood
Jealous East
05 Dec 2024 — 21 Dec 2024
Stanley Donwood has returned to Jealous for our final show of the year. The exhibition features a selection of works printed in the Jealous Print Studio, including ‘Sol’, a striking 10 colour screenprint edition depicting a radiant sun with a tangle of vine-like rays beaming down on the colourful wildlife.
‘The Lost Domain’ will run from 28th November until 21st December, with the gallery opening evening held on 5th December at Jealous, 53 Curtain Road, EC2A 3PT, between 6.30-8.30pm.

The Lost Domain' or 'Le Grand Meaulnes' is the title of the only book by Alain-Fournier, who was killed during the first month of the First World War. It is a strange novel about the hopelessness of longing for the unobtainable.

With some friends, I set up a small print publishing company and called it 'The Lost Domain'. This was back in 2021, and since then we have released twelve editions of pictures that I have made. These pictures are also about the hopelessness of longing for the unobtainable.
