Collection: KAREN DEAR
Karen Dear

Karen Dear is an artist from Kent who is now based in London. After finishing her BA in Fine Art and Art History from Kingston, Karen's practise continues to delve into the crossover of artistic practise and research. With a keen focus on memory and place, her work evokes nostalgia for the places that we miss as we go about our current lives. Karen achieves this by presenting her own yearned for childhood haunts in various ways. Exploring both the mediums of printmaking and installation, Karen is able to express a wide range of ideas through the audiences experience.

“One of the important things that I think Paul and I have in common is we both have a sense of putting something back into the system that gave so much to us, and I think we share that view. I would say that the print is kind of a reflection of that association where we’re putting something back into the world.” - Sir Michael Craig-Martin
