John Robertson graduated from the Royal Academy in 2012 with an MA in Fine Art, having previously studied Fine Art at The Glasgow School of Art. His work is in the Jerwood Collection, The Royal Academy Library Collection and he has exhibited internationally. John’s exploration into the visual imagery of text is clearly rooted in a long established historical discourse. His simple and elegant transformation of our everyday written language into colourful, yet muted, abstraction is astutely counterbalanced with the weight and implication of the chosen words. John’s Jealous Prize print edition is now held in the Victoria & Albert Museum Permanent Print Collection.
