Drawing is central to Janet Milner's practice. She celebrates 'randomness' and is interested in controlled and accidental mark making. The immediacy of mono printing and the results of the random, chance mistakes that occur from working this way suits her painterly drawing style. Her work focuses on recording and representing the banal and the unremarkable as something special. She is fascinated with the commonality of clutter and drawn to the detail of mundane experiences that surround identity and human life. Janet graduated in a MA in Printmaking from UAL in 2012.
