Emilia Dresden is one of the founding members of the Collective Dada. Dresden is an Outsider artist, her influences vary from film to found objects. Her past projects include Another Man's Life, an installation at the Jealous Gallery Space. Based on the finding of a discarded bag filled with another mans photographs, this starting point was used to explore the nature of memory and the creation of memory through our own carefully curated moments as representation rather than reality. Always painting, drawing and taking photographs from when she was a child, Dresden's work varies from sculptures to installations, but always working as an instinctive and insightful reaction to the value of the overlooked, inconsequential and perhaps forgotten.
