Dave was born in 1968, a year before they pretended that a man walked on the moon. (We’d have to wait another 10 years before that actually happened in a film called Star Wars). He was raised in the countryside and did practically nothing but watch TV and play his beloved video games for 20 years until he realised that he had to get a job. By a chance encounter on a train, rather than sheer determination, he pursued a career in publishing where he has currently designed over 500 magazines, books and various other things that people throw away. Dave’s work is influenced by popular culture, TV, film, sweet wrappers and games... but not music - that plays absolutely no part in any of this! And if all this sounds a little flippant it’s really not meant to… he takes this stuff very seriously… and is completely and utterly passionate about it. His latest piece ‘Generic Mountain’ is a sly little nod to fans of the popular TV show Family Guy and a pretty picture to everybody else.
