Daniel studied MA Fine Art at Goldmiths, having previously studied BA Aesthetic Theory and Philosophy and BA Physics at Cornell University, Ithaca, New York. In 2010 he was selected for the prestigious Bloomberg New Contemporaries exhibition at the ICA in London and has exhibited widely in both London and New York. Daniel’s print for the Jealous Prize is a giclee print with screenprinted details on Somerset paper with one curved corner. The image chosen for Daniel’s piece appears found, arbitrary, however on closer inspection the adaptations made to the image by the artist become apparent, the photoshopped additions and the selective cropping of the image, faded sections and overlays, all are evidence of subjective alterations, artistic choices. Dan’s Jealous Prize print edition is now held in the Victoria & Albert Museum Permanent Print Collection.
