McIntyre's artworks vividly trace a journey of experimentation and growing maturity, as seen through McIntyre’s changing concerns, to mark marking and narratives.
Ally McIntyre is a painter in the truest sense of the word. Having graduated from Goldsmiths with an MFA in Fine Art in 2015, Ally McIntyre’s practice focuses on large, unapologetic works, with a personal narrative which is as complex as it is playful.
Bold and assertive, McIntyre’s work also questions the prevalent association of large-scale art with the male artist.
Her work is placed in many public and private collections including the Victoria & Albert Museum Permanent Print Collection(moon cries), where her Jealous Prize winning screenprint ‘Ferdinand’ joins the growing archive of Jealous Prize winner’s prints.
Ally featured in the JEALOUS X SAATCHI show RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW, 2021.
