Alessandra Paglialonga is an Italian artist based in London. Born in 1975, she completed a fine art degree and went on to exhibit with an Artists’ Collective called Pop Colors. She has worked with photography, painting, collage and installation. And takes inspiration from pop art, Japanese contemporary art and graffiti. In 2005 she created a limited edition range of characters called Frengo (www.frengo.it) The Frengo characters have been exhibited across Europe in design fairs and art events, including Pictoplasma in Berlin. These characters have continued to influence her art and have made an appearance in her latest work – a series of limited edition screenprints.
