Jealous presents ‘Rare Grooves’, a solo exhibition celebrating over a decade of collaboration between Magda Archer and Jealous.

'Rare Grooves' showcases pieces from our shared archive, including sought after print editions by Jealous artist Magda Archer, published in the Jealous Print Studio and never-seen-before original artworks.

From 2014’s knowing print ‘Lose Weight Now’ to the wonderfully kitsch 2025 release ‘Boing!’, follow the evolution of the artist’s signature nostalgia and raw commentary through over fifty works on display in the same room for the very first time.

Wit meets whimsy as Archer, who has previously collaborated with Comme des Garçons and Marc Jacobs, lends her distinctive narrative to the modern condition including memes, retail therapy and “sexist twatism”. Most works are available to purchase, including rare and sold-out prints, sourced from the artist’s archive.

A one-of-a-kind 3D sculpture handcrafted by Magda Archer, 'Your Wish, Wishing Well' is up for auction with all proceeds going directly to Tottenham Foodbank. Part of her ongoing retrospective 'Rare Grooves' at Jealous, this auction is a continuation of Archer's longstanding commitment to using her art for charitable causes.

About the Work
A modern take on a beloved fixture in folklore and fairytales: ‘Your Wish, Wishing Well’ is a freestanding mixed media sculpture that embodies the whimsy and wit Archer is known for. The piece has been exhibited publicly as part of two shows at Jealous: ‘Rare Grooves’, the artist's current solo retrospective, and ‘#notquitedisney’, a group exhibition held in 2024.

How the Auction Works
Fancy getting your hands on a conversation-starting artwork for your collection? This is a silent auction, meaning bids are submitted privately rather than publicly: there is no live bidding event. Simply place your bid with the Jealous team from Thursday 7th May onwards, either by visiting the gallery in person or by emailing info@jealousgallery.com. There is no set increment: bid whatever you feel the work is worth to you. The bidder who submits the highest total by the closing date of Saturday 30th May* will be declared the winner.

The Cause
All proceeds from the sale will be donated in full to Tottenham Foodbank, a community organisation working to support local people facing food poverty, providing emergency food and practical support to people in their hardest moments.

‘Rare Grooves’ will run from 7th May to 30th May at Jealous, 53 Curtain Road, EC2A 3PT, London.

Terms & Conditions
The highest bid received by the closing date wins.
The silent auction ends at 6pm Saturday 30th May* and the winning bidder will be announced on 1st June.
Open to UK residents only.
The winning bidder is responsible for arranging collection and transportation of the sculpture from the gallery at their own cost and arrangement.
